The
Centre’s objectives are:
To
promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Haddington and the
neighbourhood thereof (hereinafter called “the area of
benefit”) without distinction of age, ability, sex, sexual
orientation, race, or of political, religious or other opinions
by:-
Bringing
together in association the said inhabitants and the local authorities,
voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education
and health; and providing a meeting place and other facilities
within the area
of benefit for the purposes of social welfare, recreation and leisure time
occupations in order to improve the conditions of life for the inhabitants.
